    tie rods, end links

I've been having some problems with the tie rods repeatedly wearing out.
First the OEMs wore out after a year of autox-ing, because my car always heavily understeers at low speeds and I use R-compound tires that cause a much higher lateral force to be applied to the endlinks because its a corolla and it was not really meant for motorsport. I replaced my inner tie rods with MOOG aftermarket replacements in august, and one of them already wore out. I use the car for autox, but I've only been to one event since I installed them, so I probably hit a pothole or my very agressive driving caused the part to fail. Can anyone suggest another tie rod manufacturer that makes even stronger parts? Or perhaps I can use a tie rod from a truck or a heavier car that won't break?

Another problem that I'm having is the endlinks that first seize and then wear out and make noise when going over uneven ground. I have a hotchkis adjustable rear swaybar that is always set to the stiffest setting, and this might have caused them to fail. In fact, I bought the same ones as in this picture:

I'm considering buying MOOG aftermarket replacements for the endlinks as well, because they come with a hex face that you can use to keep the endlink from spinning and thus remove the endlinks, but I'm skeptical because my MOOG tie rods wore out so fast. I heard some guy made his own adjustable endlinks.

    Any help would be appreciated.

hmm now that you mentioned about your endlinks making noise over uneven ground it makes me curious if that is the same sound i am hearing.

what does your bad endlink sound like over uneven ground? maybe my endlink is bad too.

i would say ball joints too. does the sound change relative to speed or is it usually constant?

havent pulled out the broken tie rod yet. Sounds like a worn balljoint in the rod. The endlink sounds like two boards being knocked together when i go over a large number of small bumps like snow or gravel. to check it make sure the car is on level ground and pull on the swaybar up and down
