My gf's ring size is a 4 which is making it very difficult to locate nice ring. Will a size five make the ring so big for her that it's unwearable? I have noticed that a size four on her finger will fit, but it's a little too snug. Perhaps a 4.5 will be perfect. What do you guys think? 4, 4.5, or 5?

We have talked about marriage but as of now, it's impossible due to school and busy changing schedules. I wouldn't dare attempt an engagement ring until I have a source or stable income so that I can support her and possibly a family.

She's hinted at a ring since she's been hit on a couple times by other guys and wants something to show everyone that she's taken.

your just wasting your time and money, if you care enough that you wana be with her forever, just get her an engagement ring, promise rings are for high school students.

i wouldn't have said this quite as harsh as Matt did, but yeah...i haven't seen a promise ring since high school. are you sure it's something she'd want?

It's a pretty common happenstance. I know its common in the US. Not so sure about anywhere else.
