the bad paint job they did on the corolla on the banner in the top. like the bumper is darker than the body.

i could just be the way the light is hitting it

or it could be a damaged and repainted (or damaged and freshly painted) part.

it's easy to see what body parts have been painted later than the car was painted. look closely...half the cars on a dealer lot have had lot damage, and have been repainted in spots.

thats something i was always taught to really look for when i bought a car. my scion has a small place on the front bumper

def. could be just from the lighting. If you notice, the angle of the trunk is much different than the angle on the bumper. depending on where the lights coming from it can make the paint look different...especially on metallic paints (all depends on where the light hits the flakes)

The 9th gen does not interest me.

no im pretty sure it was a bad paint job. its an aftermarket body kit peice and someone couldnt afford the exact paint.

C'mon! It was on purpose. It's a two tone paint job. LOL∞
