Looking to get new tires

AAA/BB/RCC

AAA - tread width in millimeters
BB - percentage of sidewall height as compared to tread width in millimeters
CC- size of rim in inches


I'm sorry I wasn't doubling the sidewall. The height difference is actually 6.4mm overall, which will put your speedo off by half a mph @ 60mph. Hence it will not mess up the speedo and give you 10mm more of a footprint.

guys im getting this deal in my area, prety much &150 for everything, out the door price but im sure it performs good, people are getting these bald within 30K miles and its rated for 60K, thats my only worrying part, what do you guys this?

ok i got what youre saying BUT my stock rims are not going to take any wider tires on em, at least thats what i think and its gonna look awkward, fronts sticking out more than the rears lol

when you purchase tires from tirerack, they mount and balance for free.

i got that part, u didnt get what im saying, its more of a hassle than compared to having an actual physical store, lets say its time to rotate, so ok maybe you can rotate em on your own but then you have to balance them again and fix the camber and what not, so youd have to take it to a local shop who can do that for you and that would cost $$$, or lets say you need repairs on the tire itself, again gotta take it to a local shop which would cost $$$

If i get em from lets say discounttire, i pay em one time, and that it, its covered for the lifetime of the wheel, pretty much anything, you might save a few bucks at the beginning from places like tirerack but eventually the extra cost and time spent on the maintenance ends out being the same, am i wrong? at least this is what my understanding is

even buying from a physical store, wont they charge you again for having your tires rotated and balanced? or wont they charge you if you have to patch/plug your tires regardless if you bought from them?

i dont think every shop has that policy dude

sears, discounttire, samsclub, just to name a few

they have more than enough selections where i wont have to go elsewhere and at good prices

doesnt tirerack offer the same thing at the tirerack approved installers?

i would say kumho or falken. Dunlop maybe.. never owned a dunlop before.

Falken just updated their Ziex512 tire to a ze-912 (i believe). the 512 was a great all-season tire that didn't break the bank. i've heard the 912 is improved for rain and overall performance.

I had the Ziex-512 for winter and it is GREAT!
Really great on both dry and wet. I think it's better than my summer Toyo T1S.

Toyo Proxes4 all season V-rated tires are the way to go.

just ended up buying BF goodrich tour T/A pro series for $140 out the door from sams club, thats 2 tires

that was like 4 days ago or something right? I think it snowed in seattle the day. probably not as much..

Falkens are great where I am in California since it hardly rains, but they really suck in the rain and snow. I like Toyo Proxes4 since it covers all bases and has very good stability at high speeds.
