    Good Afordable Paint Job ??????

Hey I was wonderin if anyone has had their car painted at "1 Day Paint" or "Earl Scheib" or "Maaco" or if anyone knows of a good affordable paint place that will paint a whole car for a good price (under 1g)??

Im tired of the gray primer/silver paint/white primer look and wanna get it done so I can enjoy ridin around without the stares and laughs from ppl. :(

I've heard their paint jobs aren't too bad. Not the highest quality, but they work.

I think JCRWCR got his car painted fully by Earl Scheib for around $800. Of course the price will also depend on the type of paint and how many clear coats you put on. I would not trust Maaco. I have heard too many bad things with their stuff. especially if you live near the beach where you can get a lot of seawater/salt or if you live in an area where it snows a lot. I've seen Maaco paint jobs go bad after a couple of years.

I just went to my local earl scheib and found out they are doing a manager special, platinum paint job for under 600bux with lifetime warranty. check out your local store and see if they are doing the same.

IF you go to one of these places, here's a tip: make sure you slip both the prep guy and the painter a $100 (each). usually they'll make an effort to do a better job on the car.

The paint doesn't adhesive to the fiberglass as well as metal therefore they offer only a 90day warranty. Plastic and fiberglass as well as carbon fiber, they will only offer 90 days. If the paint doesn't go bad and chip or anything within the first 90 days, the paint is usually pretty good to go. just make sure to take care of the area to keep the paint quality. If you're paranoid about the part, i would suggest you sand and primer it yourself and then hand it off to the guys.
