No holes. Only adhesive. What gen do you drive? On the 8th gens, the Corolla written on the back is composed merely of soft metallic stickers that you can peel off with your fingernail. The Toyota emblem will require some fish line and perhaps a little heat. You can use a hair dryer. Any adhesive residue can be removed with alcohol or any light solvent. You can even use acetone, but dilute it first because it may damage the paint. Wash the area immediately, rinse, dry, and wax it. It's a really clean look. I suggest removing the side door moldings as well.

use a blow dryer to heat up the adhesive slightly to take off easily, then use floss to slowly take off.. then use goo gone to take off the rest of the adhesives. Get yourself a large bottle of goo gone because that stuff works well and you'll use it for other thing in the future guaranteed. hehehe then like someone mentioned, give it a couple coats of wax so you won't see color change in a couple of years. FYI, if your car's paint color has already changed slightly, I don't recommend taking off emblems since it will look pretty funny.

make sure you wax the car after removing those letters since it tends to take it with them.

exactly, when i took off the corolla letters, i used rubbing compound to remove the rest of the sticky stuff. the sticky stuff was gone, but it looked like my car had a terrible sunburn. the paint had faded slightly around the letters.

It's exactly the same. The process is just longer.

Painting them white would look better, but removing them is best. I have an LE so my moldings were already white. I still removed them.
