    fixed up my fat 5's

painted my rims today, figured it was the cheapest way to cover up the curb rash on them. it was brutal.

anyways here is some pics, this mod will be awsome once my black headlights and corners come(wed), then struts and springs(next pay), then cf hood(sometime).

This is just me but i cant get away from the idea that your car looks so cheap even though if i remember correctly, you did paint your kits. Over in LA, there are so many cheap people who buy kits for their car and puts in on without painting it or they would put on different color body panels with a body kit and the colors don't match. It just looks very awkward.

yeah you should color match your lip kit, remove those window visors and maybe even remove that trim on the doors (that supposedly helps prevent dents from other car doors opening) as well as going back to stock paint-matching side view mirrors.

that and you need to lower :)

The wheel paint is cool. I'm guessing it's the new Duplicolor wheel paint. I was looking into that while a go. And yes, I have said before that the car looks cheap and it still does. The side moldings and lip kit should be painted the same color as the car. Even the stock maroon color isn't too apeasing. And Honda wheels on a Toyota make it clash even more especially when it's riding on SUV unlowered heights.

Hey guys, give him a break. I think he said he gonna repaint the whole car to blue or something like that.
But I do agree with you guys. The black trim looks cheap, just like my CE. :(

$2k is hard to come up with for a paint job, i agree with you guys one color would be better, but for now i'm sticking with the 2 tone.
i'm lowering it when my tokico hp's come in, i already have apex springs. all in all the car is gonna lower 35mm.
i also ordered black heads and corners to go with the rest of the two tone look, the will be here wednesday. oh and i'm also waiting for 4 55mm toyota centercap emblems from HK.
the honda rims is the best i could do for the price i got them for.
to each their own, i dont expect ya'll to have the same tastes as me, i just make due with the resources i have and limited cash...family/bills first.
for a hobby i think the rolla has come a long way, and when money works out for us the car will be painted. i haven't chosen a color yet, i've played around with a few concepts.

really?? I thought he was going to keep i the color it was. I think originally i suggested a full two tone color for the car but he didnt like it too well. then I saw Rollatuner's car with a black kit on so I photoshopped a two tone on his and in my opinion it looked smashin'. Unfortunately, he colored it all white again.

you cant really say that till ya try and see it with your own eyes. your subconcence will always make preconcieved notions till you acually see it. then and only then will you change your mind on it or not.

I photoshopped the skirts and rear valences black. It looked horrible. I would be better off leaving only the front black. But then the car looks uneven. If the front lip was carbon fiber, I would consider leaving it, but it was only primer black which makes it look cheap. It's the same reason why the side moldings should be the same color. I removed mine completely even though they were also white. It gives the car a smoother, cleaner look. There's a reason why professional show cars don't leave any body parts black, unless the car itself is black. The car always looks complete and more "composed" when it's one solid color or design.
