I say just paint the muffler itself black. Leave the tip chrome.

true , what does it sound like? oh yeah , when you go to do your exhaust make sure you step up your diameter , a couple of sizes right before the muffler. before putting on the muffler , it will help cut down on that raspy civic crackle sound.:D

You can try using a resonator with it as well.

I agree. Since it's generic I don't think it's had much in the R&D department.

btw jdmikey, you're selling the corolla? :(

maybe not , if he steps the diameter up right before the muffler .

i think he already has a resonator stock .

yea. im thinking about it. i have always had acura's and i miss them. my first car was a 91 accord then i had a 01 integra gs-r and lastly before the rolla was a 05 rsx-s so i miss honda. the rolla just kinda fell in my lap.

    rsx-s?! I wouldn't have kept that. hehe

I'm sure if you step up the diameter to the muffler it would lessen that ricy pop, but if the muffler was poorly designed then wouldn't it make that noise anyways?

not nessacarily , that pop comes from a small diameter pipe comming outa large ass tip . its the pressures decreasing suddenly , that make that pop , so when you gradually increase diameters , instead of all at once , it takes that pop out.
