    Brembo Rotors w/ OEM brakes

I have been using this current setup for a few months now. Has anyone had a problem with the brake pads wearing down too fast. I go through brake pads every oil change or so ..

wow that's fast wear! just curious, are your brembo rotors slotted? dimpled? drilled? or just flat oem style?

i use OEM brake pads for my dimple slotted rotors and my braking is just fine. sorry, i forgot the brand of my rotors.

I don't bother with drilled or slotted rotors. Braking distance is significantly improved with good brake pads and stickier tires. Upgraded rotors of the same size don't make a big difference.

what kinda pads are you using? i had a set of cheapo dura last pads b4 when i was delivering pizzas. they were gone to the metal at 4000 miles. and thats factory rotors. most the time , if the pads were only 10-15 bucks , you get what you pay for.

the comment about vented , slotted , and drilled rotors is not that accurate . as for daily driving , and stopping power , yes pad and tire upgrade is sufficient . however , if you do track type racing . the slottred , vented , and cross drilled rotors do help with brake fade , by reducing the heat between the rotor and the pad. been there , done that.

yea, the drilled or slotted wil help out signifigantly when you do more aggressive driving and racing. also keeps the brakes working better during the race since they are cooler

Drilled rotors are weakened through the drilling process. Slotted can help with heat, but can glaze the pads and wear them down pretty quickly. Just get vented rotors. If you REALLY think you need to cool your brakes, make cooling ducts.

I had brembos and they didn't eat the brakes away, but don't use semi metallic pads, they will destroy brembos, I had them eat into the metal and cause rotors to warp.
