I need a new suspension soon. The coilover on strut setup has served me well this far for the better of over 3 years but I think I need a better upgrade. As everyone knows, I lowered the car another inch after I rolled my fenders however I hit the maximum droppage of the coilovers. and the ride quality has been compromised.

Hey Jon, how stiff were the stock 7 and 5 kg spring rates on the Ksports and have you noticed any sag with the springs?

    Interesting. Never heard of them.

You'll probably gonna get what you pay for. That means, don't expect it to perform at par with other known brands. BUT it's way better than your set-up right noh.;)

haha yeah I know it would be better than what I have now. I posted the same thread in trdforums and it didn't get good responses there. The reasoning was that they can't get their product application years straight and no spring rates were listed.

i fixed that sway bar linkage problem. but to tell you the truth, i didn't feel a difference when i fixed it. the suspension is soo dang stiff..

but k sports are fun. i've stiffened the spring rates all around from 5kg front/ 3kg rear to 15kg front 13kg rear

Thanks for the tips and info man. I think I'm going to go with Ksports. I just need to wait for a couple paychecks to come in first before I can place an order.

7kg/5kg was definitely stiffer than OBX coils with stock struts. The springs have some sag once the car is on the ground and once the springs settle, but ksports are by-far way stiffer than OBX. combine those 7kg/5kg springs with the ksport strut and you'll have a driving skill that needs to be improved and races to be won.

YOU CAN take the 7kg spring, grab it by the sides and squeeze the coils. I'm not a buff or strong person, but I was able to squeeze the coils just a little bit (very little). Compared to the OBX coil I was able to squeeze the coils no problem.

Trust me, you'll like the ksports. But your girlfriend wont.

And with the nex ss setup, who knows what the spring rate is and if you will ever be able to change them out for stiffer or softer spring rates? With Ksport, you can go up to 30kg rates. It's seriously like playing Gran turismo with K sports.

I totally suggest the Ksports. my suggestion is you should wait and see if there's a guinea pig who will try the nex ss coilovers. if they give a rave review, go for them. but if not go for ksports.

oooo impact wrench. Whats the capacity of the compressor you have? Remember to pick up a set of impact sockets too. Normal sockets dent and warp with impact wrenches and guns. Oh, is it an impact gun, or impact ratchet?

When I worked at Home Depot, they had some good capacity yet somewhat cheap compressors. An average one that would suit your needs would run about 100-200.
