Just bought a front lip!

I can't wait! I've always wanted one but the one supershyguy has for the 98-00 was fugly IMHO. I came across this and I knew I had to have it.

There's still one more being sold by this seller. They allow for local pick up so I'm gonna pick it up after I'm contacted.
And there's another seller but based in Canada.

Its white. Yeah, I have the stock 01-02 S skirts. I'm going to leave the lip black. hehe

also , since were on the subject of lips , ive been looking at 2 friends cars . one has a 01 gti/jetta front end type . the factory lip looks like it might fit on a 7 or 8 gen , anyone know? also ive seen a pic of a wrx lip , that i like , think this will work ? what about a 93 civic lip? anybody played w/ these ?

The bumpers are very different so I don't think it would fit.
I think the 7th gens have more choices for lip kits than the 8th.

yeah , that was quick , ive seen that one on the pick of the powder blue and red 7 gens . different is always better.

i like the gti style cause its not like a lip , its more like a chin spoiler , and it attaches to the bottom of the bumper , as opposed to the hole lower part, of the front bumper.

and of course , the ones for the wrx are CF.

I think all abs plastic lips can be molded with heat to match the curvature of your bumpers. The only question is the proper lengths of them. You'll have to measure the lips along the curve and compare them with your bumpers.

I just picked the lip up today. It looks just like the picture and the dealer said that it has no fitment problems. I'll paint it and install it and post some pics. He says he has more in stock. Any takers?

I kind of like it black. It gives it a stealthy unique look since no one else has this lip. I'm thinking of paint the skirts black and adding black stock S mud guards in the back. You will see what I mean when you see it at the meet. hehe

No, don't paint the side skirt and mud guards black. It will looks very cheap.
I got so many "black" stuff on my CE, it just looks so cheap, you won't like it.
I say paint the front lip white!

paint it whooooooooooot dude, its looks nicer and ricer. also does that lip adds an aditional droppage to the bumper?

I'm thinking about it. It gives a nice accent to the white. It doesn't add much droppage. Not as much as an entire aftermarket bumper. Its probably around an inch drop, no more.

best i can do in a few min.. hehe. at least it will give you an idea

Can anyone photoshop one of the pictures I posted with the lip white? I've been thinking of painting it white too. Problem is I don't have much money to do it.

hahaha I can't imagine having my car painted like that. It looks cool in a way but way over exaggerated. How about a whole black primered corolla?

Ok. I've decided to get it painted. Problem is I used a lot of 3M outdoor super industrial strength double sided tape to mount the front section so it kind of won't want to come off. LOL Does anyone know of a cheap place for painted small pieces? I'll need to get my skirts repainted too.

As for paint, you can paint it yourself since it's just a front lip. It's very east to do. Just use spray paint and wetsand paper and wax and you're done.
