Unless you really love TRD for some reason, otherwise just get one from ebay. They're pretty much the same *useful*.
I got a Reactive one in my 01 and it fits really well. :)

Ebay. And they do make a difference unless all your driving is city.

sxlostv1 had them on his car before he sold it. It bolts up to the door hinges but you'd have to drill the 3rd mounting point on the wheel well.

Correct me if I'm wrong but only having a front strut bar and no rear can throw off handling. For more neutral handling in a FWD wouldn't you want to stiffen up the rear?

It sounds like you're thinking sway bars.

The strut bar is mearly a chassis brace to keep the chassis from flexing during cornering. A sway bar would actually affect under/oversteer conditions because it is connected to the individual strut. Also as far as I know there are no real rear strut bar for the rolla. I know cusco and a few other companies in japan make rear strut braces for the wagon, FX hatchback and 2dr Levin/Trueno. But for the sedans it is just too difficult to route a bar between the two strut towers without removing plastic panels or cutting through the chassis.

However there is a company named ultra racing in malaysia that makes a rear strut bar, only thing is you have to drill the chassis and you dont mount it to the top of the strut tower. They do business internationally as well and a US dristributor is getting set up in so cal right now.

I looked them up and they offer fender bars too. I had no idea they made those.

I forgot the exact torque settings for the strut mount nuts but they are important. Its about as tight as you can get it with a normal ratchet. Its what holds the struts on your car!

BTW its strut bar. Singular strut, not plural.

Ok, so I bought a struts bar (TRD I think...) from rl2001 here. Is a struts bar just a bolt on or do I need to worry bout getting it installed somehere? If I can just unscrew the bolts under the hood, place the bar and put the bolts back on, will it work or do I need to worry bout torque settings and crap?

on my old 1995 I had a reactive bar, and right off the bat I felt the difference, it does nothing for you on the straight road, but when you need to do tight city style cornering even this small thing really helps with the tilt of the car during tight turns. Ofcourse tighter springs and new struts do help more.

Its either 29 Nm or 39 Nm. I forget which one but it wouldn't hurt to tighten it a little more as long as it doesn't strip the threads. This translates to 21 ft-lbs and 28 ft-lbs.
