It is possible. They sell cruise control kits. Or you can salvage one from another same model corolla from the yard. Its not that hard.

Hey guys, I have an ae92 90 corolla DX auto. I wanted to put in cruise control. I was wondering if any one has done this before. Is it possible? What I would have to get? Is it a hard procedure? Thanks for any info.

I have no problem salvaging a cruise control from another car, but I need to know what I would need to get when I go to get the pieces.

You want to unlink the entire throttle cable including the part going to the cruise control box and to the throttle body. Remember to snag all necessary brackets, nuts, and bolts. You might want to get a hold of the interior cruise control buttons and/or switches as well. That's pretty much it.

Where is the cruise control box located in the engine compartment? What does it look like?

Find the throttle cable coming from the firewall driver's side and it should lead you to a black box.

So all I need is the cruise control box, brackets, nuts, and bolts. Interior cruise control buttons and/or switches. So the ecu doesn’t have to do anything with the cruise control right? Does the cruise control box have the switch harness? Are there any vacuum hoses or anything I need to get? Sorry to ask so many questions but I want to get everything to first time.
