I say no to the rear bumper. Why do you need to exhaust cutouts? Twin exhaust is a power loss with our corollas.

Yea, I'm kinda not liking it too. I found a place where they sell the bomber kit, but I still need to find a rear bumper if I am to go ahead with the mods. Any other suggestions for a good rear bumper, keeping in mind that its a Prizm not a rolla (things would have been so much simpler)

That one is a little too expensive. However, I'm thniking about going with the above kit for now since its cheap and looks allright. I might have to go for the bomber kit later. I found it on eBay, and its made of flexible plastic. Will this be a good choice or you guys recommend going for the bomber front and sides + andy's rear bumper?

if i were you, i'd wait until you can afford the kit you want...rather than getting what you can afford now. what's the rush? do it right the FIRST time, instead of wasting money. :)

I guess you are right. The thing is that the stuff is still affordable, but shipping costs are pushing it beyond its worth. Wish I could find a local store that had all I need.

Yeah I should have waited. I wouldn't have gotten any body kit. That was the one of the biggest mistakes of my tuning experience.

trust me...i've been there and made those mistakes. save your money, don't go with the cheapest option available, and you'll thank yourself for being prudent in the long run.

no matter what, when you get into the thick of it, DO NOT skimp on things like brakes, suspension, tires...these are some of the most important parts of the car, and you'll NEED them to be quality goods. either get what you want, or wait till you can reasonably afford it without bankrupting yourself in the process.

The bid for this kit is over and I tried contacting the seller to see if he has any more left. After a lot of thinking and not finding anything, I'm gonna go with this kit. The bumpers look pretty neat to me, sides are OK, but I don't need the rest of the stuff. Comments....??

yeah dude, unless you have the cash, or you have the will to make mistakes and learn from them don't do a body kit. i'm an exception of course! unless you're lowered, you will scratch, hit, scrape, bump and rub. it's not like sex when it comes to these conditions. ohh yeah, you have to change your driving habits too. drive slower over dips and bumps, avoid high driveways at all costs, exit and enter driveways at an angle... yeah, are you up to it? anyway, good luck with the kit! if you're not going to lower your car, you might need some 18's to fill those wheel wells.

I'm confused here. Will I need to lower my car to avoid hitting and rubbing crap or will I need to leave it high so that nothing is close to the ground?

Oh crap. How did I forget that. lol

Anyways, look at these two below. The 99 rolla and 01 przm front bumpers..

They look pretty much the same to me, at least the lower ends where lips would fit. Any chance I can use a 99 rolla lipkit?

    Same thing with the rears

I think what he means is you need a stiffer suspension. The stock suspension is so soft that bumps will make your kit scrape. And with a body kit, you won't be able to lower the car as much as a car without one. I had that VIS bumper that I'm trying to sell because I got tired of having to drive like a grandma all the time and even when I did it still scratched. My new lip is so much better. It makes it look like I have a body kit but it doesn't make the bumper much lower at all. I can clear all bumps, dips, and whatever the road can throw at me.

I guess I'll just have to live with a lipkit right now. But I cannot finda single darn one for the Prizm, not even a vague one, so forget about an aggressive one. Anyone/Anyplace that makes custom stuff?

If you want a body kit or lip kit, you will need to swap to the 98-00 bumper or the body kit. Nothing fits the Prizm bumper because nothing was designed for it.

I think Pete's front lip fit Prizm, somebody did that already not long ago.
And I don't see how the 8th gen sideskirt won't fit Prizm.
So the only *mystery is the rear lip.

The 99 is correct, the 01 is incorrect. An 01 has the second generation front bumper. But both of those pictures can fit the front lip.
