    Check out Discount tire direct and Tirerack. They both let you see the rims on your car before you buy them. They also recommend the right size rim and tire to match the stock measurements.

    Some Good Wheels

    What are some good Wheels/Rims for everyday driving and would look alright on a silver corolla and what tires would you recommend on getting ? prefer all weather tires.

    For a corolla I wouldn't go larger than 16 inches. I would also try to get the lightest rim that I can afford. Make sure that they are structurally sound as well. I have the forged one piece 15" Konig Heliums which weigh in at 10.7 lbs a rim. As for tires, you want to consider performance and endurance. You'll have to do your own research on that. I prefer a high speed all season tire like the Toyo Proxes4.

    why wouldnt you put 17's on a rolla? is it because of the size of the tires that will go along with the wheels? because they recommend 205/40 for the 17's and im guessing that would be too big for a rolla correct? so thats why u wouldnt wanna go higher than a 16 inch's

    yea i looked but i'm asking you guys what would be a good wheel that will look good .. i was thinking about the 5zigen's but they are about 200$ per wheel

    hehe. I know for a fact that Konig offers a lot of lightweight wheels for 16". The new released Konig Feather is around 15 lbs for the 16".

    Rota (I have 16" Circuit 10's on my car), HP Design, Tenzo R, and several other good (and affordable) brands exist. Personally, I love Rota wheels. Konig is pretty good, too (for you, rollatuner). :p

    I agree rollatuner110. 16" is the largest I will go for 8th gen. I myself is on 15" subzero which weighted less then 13lbs a piece.
    Unless you're going for all-show-no-go. Otherwise 17" rims are usually too heavy for us. You can't barely move with our powerless rolla.

    If you go with 16's I don't know if I would get the lightest rims possible for daily driving. You'll have low profile tires, and with light rims they might take a chomping from potholes and such.

    Alright .. so 16's are the highest for keeping "STOCK" performance with the car and getting anything bigger would be just for show. ALright understood. Would bigger profile tires make you lose gas mileage? or does it not matter?

    Get 45 profile tires if you want 16" wheels to fit correctly.

    No it won't reduce mpg but your turning radius could suffer. I normal 3 point turn might turn into a 4 or 5 point turn.

    You can calculate the closest correct size you need. The stock steelies tires are 185/65/14. The 185 is in millimeters, so convert that into inches. 1 inch = 25.4 mm. The 65 is the sidewall length of the tire in comparison to the % of the width. 185 mm x (1 inch/25.4 mm) = ~7.283 inches. Then calculate sidewall. 7.283 inches x 65% = ~4.734 inches. Take that and multiply by 2 and add that value to the 14 inches of the rim to get the total length of the wheel. (4.734 inches x 2) + 14 inches = ~23.469 inches

    Repeat for the new tire size. I get ~23.264 inches for the 205/45/16 tire size. 23.469>23.264 by not much. Pretty damn close. So yes, get the 205/45/16s.

    If your rim is 6.5 inches or wider be prepare to rub. 6.5 isn't even that wide but I'm rubbing like crazy. You should get your rear fenders rolled just in case.

    uhh wouldnt i just need to get the front rolled? since the front tires move and not the back? or just get them rolled since they are bigger tires in the back?>

    edit:
    did you lower your car? i know my tires on my car with the stock steelies are rubbing. i have 195/65/14 on the stock. Im not sure if its because of the size or maybe because of the loose mud guards?

    Getting the fronts rolled wouldn't accomplish anything since the rainguards will still be there at the same level. Moreover, the front struts have a stiffer spring tension so it won't have much rubbing if any. The rear is naturally softer and rubs like crazy. And yes, my car is lowered 2.5-3 inches.

    Racing Hart has some sick ass wheels i would recomend looking at....but if your low on cash it will just upset you :( but if you want a nice set of rims just look around in places like..uhh...BBS, Konig, etc, but ne racing hart would be sick on a silver carolla!

    Oh and tires dont get ne thing to narrow, that applies mostly to the wheel, but dont go ne smaller than 215's my buddy had 205's on his and they looked terrible they were too narrow, i would recomend 225/35/18's those would be sick!!~

    The performance loss is negligible unless you exceed the stock diameter of the rim and tire.

    yeah im running 17's on my 8th gen and there is a little rub but they will look awesome with a body kit on i bet you dont lose any performance just maybe an wanted tradeoff?

    Even rims not deemed lightweight should still be comparable in weight to stock. I have enkei RS6 16" rims with 205/40R16 kumho tires and the overall weight of each wheel is about 35 pounds vs. 33 pounds for the stock steelies on a normal home scale.

    A lot of websites list the weights of wheels and tires, so you should be able to get a total ballpark weight. But keep in mind tires might be heavier because of more sidewall bolstering, which is good for cornering. Unless the wheel/tire combination is crazy heavy or light compared to stock, you probably aren't going to notice much of a change in straight line acceleration, but you will notice quite a change in cornering ability if you switch from a stock wheel and tire to a wide, low profile wheel/tire combination with a good set of high performance tires.

    Also, keep in mind the wheel offset when deciding on wheels. It plays an important role in whether or not your tires will rub. For example, the offset of mine are +38 and they rubbed in the back until I had the fenders shaved (rolling them does the same thing). A helpful website is

    Lighter wheels = less unsprung weight = better handling characteristics. It seems to me that since you're upgrading the wheels and tires to lessen the weight too while you're at it.
