It all depends how deep is your pocket. If I had a HUGE budget on my suspension, I'd go for:

    - Tein SS Coilovers + EDFC
    - 3pt TRD Strutbar
    - Whiteline Anti-sway bar
    - GOOD set of sticky tires
    - Polyurethane engine and tranny mounts

If I'm going all out track,
    - Seamweld the whole car
    - Rollcage
    - Some custom made body brace

    That would be nice....:)

Get the Tein Flex instead of the SS. Give any US distributor the part number below and they can order them for you. They're JPY 183,750 including tax and the upper mount.

    Tein Japan's Toyota Application List

Info you'll need to order from a US distributor:

AE101 Corolla Tein Flex Part Number:
    DST40-61SS1 (w/ upper mount)

    EDFC Controller Part Number:
    EDK04-K4469

    EDFC Motor Part Number:
    EDK05-14140

i have ksport. i've changed around the spring rates. it's a lot of fun. but ksport's are super stiff. you're riding on a rock pretty much EVEN with their factory assembly 7kg front 5kg rear.... but that's how i like it. right now i'm doing 15kg front and 13kg rear. you can even choose how tall you want the spring. i went from 24cm springs to 18cm springs. generally, the shorter the springs (in height) the higher the spring rate

i spent so far 800ish on the kit with 7kg front and 5kg rear
    then $100 for a pair of 9kg
$30 for extra threaded collars to prevent my swaybar link assembly from sliding UP which the 8th gen setups DONT come with
$100 for 13kg rates for the rear
$100 for 15 kg rates for the front

total so far on a VERY dynamic coilover setup: $1130 (wow i feel like i'm playing gran turismo 4)

i also have an adjustable 20mm rear anti-sway bar from whiteline. it cost me: $200 w/o shipping.

some people are saying tein's are stiff also... but it's all preference.

DOT is also right... how far do you want to go? how much money do you have?

Dr. Tweak suggested some KYB GR2s. I drive on the highways most of the time and city streets at time (NYC) at times.

No, that $1,557 (or JPY 183,750) is only for the coilovers. The EDFC controller is about $400 or so extra. Don't quote me, but since the EDFC controller is relatively universal for tein's coilovers, a shop in the US may have it in stock.

    KYB = stock replacement.
Go for Tein or JIC if you want really good stuff.

I know what you mean, bro. I wish H&R made full coilovers for our cars. :(
