No matter what you say or do, people are still going to race on the streets. accidents are going to happen. You cant watch a single car movie without seeing a street race, its drilled into our heads. But most of the people i see street racing are uhh HONDAS haha

Well if it is a closed and controlled course then it's fine.

ok i'm only 19 so call me young if you want but i've been involved/doing street races since i was 15 (i wasn't driving at 15 just watching). in knoxviille tn, we have a highway that we call pellissippi its long straight six lanes and there are no where for cops to sit. there are also no on or off ramps for like a two mile stretch. thats where we race. i just mainly watch because the ppl who do the racing around here i could never keep up with. (supras, saleens, cobras, fox bodies drag ready, and retarded fast hatch backs)

Street racing is for ricers. If you want to conduct yourself professionally, go to the track. If you run me over or hit my car I will personally haunt you in this world or in the afterlife.

I'm goin to be the bastard

    Rollatuner110
"Rice is overrated and stupid looking"
Rice was a word created to express the idea that cars from Japan were created by people who eat rice. YOU DRIVE A CAR FROM JAPANESE ORIGIN HENCE YOU ARE RICE!!!! HELLO!

    Rollatuner110
"Well if it is a closed and controlled coarse then it's fine"
You just controdicted everything you said about street racing. IRONIC!!!

Do I agree that horrific fatalities occur during street racing? YES!! Most certainly.
Do I street race? Yes. On occasion I can't help but go out and run the town. I feel I gain more expierience in a car when I race on the street, of coarse. Any driver that knows what the hell he's talking about will tell you the same thing: There will always be more danger on the road and many more variables to accomidate while driving on the street. Thats why the Japanese tuners and drivers have always been a step ahead in all automotive events.(all of them street race)(I've seen them all do it-Fumiaki Komatsu(Jap D1), Daijiro Yoshihara(USA D1 & Jap Time Attack), and the Tarzan himself (Jap D1&F1 as of next year).
Street Racing is very dangerous but the decision to do so will always be that individuals choice.
I also love the track; But sometimes 15 dollars for a couple of runs, over a 12 pack at the house after a night of running the streets, doesnt sound so fun.
I guess really the only thing to tell people is, that if you are going to street race, dont be an idiot and take it down a main drag or crowded street. If you just cant help yourself during the day-take to a highway or interstate where the traffic around you will also be moving at high speed. If you chose to street race make your surroundings as safe as you can have them. Other than that good luck and dont f*ck up.
And whoever brought up the idea of the continuous telling of street racing stories gone bad--NO! NO! NO! We all have them including myself and I really dont want to listen to people who get smashed up in trees. Thank You!

you don't want to hear it because you don't want to admit the reality of the situation? stop street racing, stop talking about it, and you'll stop hearing about what could go wrong.

Dont worry bud. I never post my street racing. The only reason I posted was to get the idea across is that it will never stop. And I do understand the situation. I've losted loved ones too so dont tell me I'm not willing to accept the situation. I embrase it. And sorry about the profanity. Take a chill pill.

Take a chill pill? LOL You're the instigator here. How old are you anyways? btw that bud you're referring to isn't a bud. She's a she. You obviously haven't been here long enough.

Rice is also not a Japanese or Asian term at all. It was created by the American public to describe this new emerging scene. Now the typical American isn't the brightest or knowledgeable person. Why would you stand by such an ambiguous and thoughtless term? People who eat rice are many and very vague. You just stereotyped the entire Asian community. So everyone who eats rice is Japanese? btw my car was made in Fresno, CA. They don't even sell the 8th gen corolla in Japan. So how is that remotely rice? The definition of rice has evolved. Sure, early on it meant Japanese import. But now it means tackiness and poorly modified parts and craftsmanship. It can even be applied to domestic cars.

Do you know what a race track is? Is is a form of a closed and controlled course. I know what I'm talking about. Thank you. Once it is closed off from the public, it is no longer a public road.

And yes you will continue to hear horror stories because they do happen and will continue to happen. And do you know why? Its because ignorant people disregard others experiences and warnings and continue to race the streets illegally. What better way to deter them by telling them what horrible things can potentially happen to them and innocent bystanders.
If you don't like the idea of driving out of the way and paying to go to the track them why don't you not race at all! Its so simple. Do yourself a favor and rethink what you have said. There's a reason why its called 'illegal' street racing.

This is your own opinion. Others are entitled to their own. And we all have to share the same roads. If you want to endanger your own life, then your are more than welcome to do so. But endangering others for your own sake is selfish. And why compare to Japanese racers? Must we copy them and do exactly what they do in Japan? Stop blending into conformity and do your own thing.

Once again, you do not own the streets. That's why they're called 'public' roads. Its not only your decision you make; you also make others decisions. Decisions they might not want to make, such as being hospitalized, being handicapped, or being dead. Grow up. Think about others for a change.

First of all--Rice to me means Japanese Import. I guess we may have diffrent views. When you commented on closed and controlled I thought you were replying to the guy above you who said there was a highway in knoxville he did his street racing that had no on or off ramps for 2 miles. and when I commented on the Japanese drivers I was only trying to prove a point. And dont dare tell me I have no clue as to what it is to lose someone in a street race and to your dismay I lost one on the track also so stop jumping to conclusions. If I choose to street race thats my choice and not your prerogative. I can die in a car at 150mph and I can at 20mph. The center of my argument was to prove that racing on the street will always occur because of an individuals choice. how does everyting become so hostile on this forum.

This was a dead topic for quite a while and when it suddenly comes alive with a finger jabbing at me how do you think I feel? You can apologize but it doesn't mean I have to accept it. If you want to contribute to the thread without being retaliated against, why don't you do it nicely without direct criticism next time? Its manners. I wouldn't insult you for no reason. I would expect the same from you. Your offenses still offend me so I suggest you stay off my back from now on.
