Yup, I agree. Do in the tracks, not on the streets.

Yup, it's pretty normal in most car forums. And again, street race is bad.

Street racing is stupid, used to street race until I saw my best buddy and his girlfreind hit a tree at about 125, they had to cut the tree down just to get the remains off of it the only thing left of them was there shoes. I was there and I actually threw up when I got the remains of the car and them. I stopped racing right there and then.

hit at tree at 125? dang, that car musta been all screwed up. I've seen a corolla hit a tree at 80 and that car was gone.. driver survived due to roll cage but man, the roll cage was bent like crazy too.

It was not a pretty site at all, the passanger side door hit the tree first and that door was touching the drivers door and the front and rear bumpers where actually intermingled

I agree...street racing is stupid.....but this is the first Ive seen a site try to enforce that rule of no street racing stories.

What does preventing street racing stories achieve, Matt?

only reason none of you like street racing is because you dont have fast cars. Oh an NOTHING compares to rush that u get on a back road streetrace.

rush from streetracing > Rush from being on a track

while I do race at the track mostly. I find that street racing is much more exciting.... just my .2

so, uh, what do you race? is it actually faster than 14 seconds in the quarter mile, and can you prove it with slips?

that said, you're a MORON if you race on the street. it has nothing to do with jealousy, or having slow cars...watch someone die because of your or your friend's negligence, and you'd change your tune.

I also think you are a moron. For more details read my post to falnfenix's other thread. Seems to me you don't take life seriously enough to value yourself or others when you're on the road. Yes and please share with us what you drive and what makes it so miraculously fun to drive since its so "fast". And once you've actually witnessed a street racing accident hopefully not yourself, you will see the horror and stupidity that comes with street racing. Ever take driver's ed? Watch Red Asphalt. That will make you think twice. Brains splattered across the freeway and bodies and torsos strewn across 4 lanes. Lovely.

EDIT: Looking at old posts, he/she drives a white 02 Corolla. How is that fast?

Lol easy killer. Its not like were racing on the highway or on a road with heavy traffic... But I live in a Small-ish town an there's a road were we go to just outside of are town ( Maybe 2-3 houses along the way) SO this road gets little if any traffic. As for a picture of time slip no I dont have one right now. If you want then ill go search threw some of my things an find one... or next time I go to the track ill just use that one. I have a couple of cars... one being the corolla, another being a White trans am (10s) an im about to purchase an 05 GTO(maybe). Heres a vid of my trans am, if you care to watch.

    you must be young..

How do you get a rush from a "small-ish town"? when I was younger and ignorant, I had a kick out of driving in semi traffic, swerving around other cars, making sure i dont hit them while trying to beat my opponent and hoping I don't get caught by the police and If I did see a cop, i would run and hide.

Also not to doubt your comment above but if you have a trans am doing 10 seconds, unless you are an old fart who could care less about proof, everyone i know in their 20's and 30's, esp teens keeps their slips. So I guess I find it odd that you dont have one right now. I still have mine back when I drove a 00 celica. hehe and the car wasnt even mine.

Last comment: why a GTO? it a car thats already discontinued and wasnt all that great to begin with. If you're going to be doing Drag most of the time, I would just keep your trans am and not waste your money. I would rather buy a Solstice GXP. needs suspension work done first but very fun car to drive.
