For me it's 10 out of 10. Way better than halogens. It is damn bright.

I agree with zcorolla that HID will work better if you retrofit them.

I've been thru some crappy hyper whites. I forget the names. I just stick with the stock ones for now. I need to work on that.

I agree. I would really help if I had a good set of projectors to help spread the light a lot better. But like DOT. says, it's bright as hell. My fog lights help out too.

You actually like the DRLs?? I disabled mine before I even had the HIDs. I thought it was a waste of bulb life. Plus people kept telling me that my headlights were on. LOL

    +1 :)

I'm planning to make my fog light go on without having my headlights on. Sounds easy but I already busted 3 fuses trying to do this. Haha.

I had silverstars before the HIDs and they only lasted 2 years then the left light popped. HIDs have a long life of around 4+ years.

Since I have a 98, I my fogs are already separate from the headlight controls... hehe

    ifyou need h4.s get these.

    http://www.driftfactory.com/product...roducts_id=4574

these are what I have. i would say a little better than silverstar. but since the company is moving, a lot of stuff are on rediculous sale.

if you want to buy from ebay, its a little cheaper right now..

i think they would last you a few years so yeah.. hehe

it is technically legal as far as i know. as long as its not red or red and blue flashing lights, then its ok. as for increasing visibility.. nope. in many cases its worse.. it is quite ricy though.

I haven't heard of a h55 is either. It's not a common foglight bulb. Most of them are H3s.

btw, I've seen quite a number of civics with yellow headlight bulbs running around. Aren't those illegal? I'm not sure if that actually increases visibility or if it's just ricy.

there actually designed for inclement weather conditions such as rain , dust , and snow. definitly would be ricey in cali ,or the sunnier reagions . but practical in the winter if your in the north or north west part of the country. great night time winter bulbs , considering snow reflects light , and ultra white happens to be the same color as the snow and ice. hence the amber glow , it helps depict black ice too.

but i did find some , raybrig . and yes my bad they are h3's checked them today.(foglights)

They're not all useless. Certain color temperatures are used in different scenarios. For night time driving, 4300K to around 10000K is good. The lower the color temperature in this case, the more light output, in lumens. For driving in fog or rain, a lower color temperature would be needed. For HIDs, a yellow version of the 4300Ks emits a bright and intense yellow light that will cut through the rain and fog. It's always best to use a combination of driving lights and fog lights to get the best visibility. I myself have a 9000K HID kit for my driving lights and a halogen fog light setup with 4300K yellow light. I can pretty much see through anything. Just lately, my area has had cases of heavy fog and I could safely drive through it safely at my own speed while other people on the road were traveling at a snail's pace. hehe suckers.
