    I need to get newer pics now that I have the TRD skirts back on. As for the power, I had my car tuned on a Dynapack, so it's impossible to get accurate numbers for automatic transmissions (because of the torque convertor slippage and the Dynapack's ajustments to correct for that). I had the car tuned on the safe side instead of having it setup for maximum power (it is my daily).

    @7 psi - 132 ft/lbs and 185 WHP
    @9.5 psi - 156 ft/lbs and 200 WHP

    I'll have to get on a dyno roller to see the real WHP and torque. It's definitely some nice power when trying to pass on the highway. Heh.

    My camera got stolen :(. I'm gonna try to borrow one this weekend. I'm swapping out the exhaust housing for a quicker spooling one, so I might try to get some better in bay pics.

    What TRD turbo thingy? You need to be more specific sting. If you mean the carbon fiber valve cover, then no.

    Ah, I think I see the confusion. He has a previous gen, where the intake is back and the exhaust is in front, where as mine is reversed.

    oh my bad, i thought it was a turbo charger, hmmm, trd super charger then it is...

    my question is, could it possibly be a bolt-on affair with a 4age enge, lets say example an NA 4age silvertop engine like my own?

    Dude, I'm not trying to flame you, but check my previous post. The "turbine-thingy" on the exhaust side (the back side for ZZ engines) is a turbocharger. Superchargers sit on the intake side.

    Correct. I have it meeting up at the midpipe instead of the downpipe so that it's far away enough from the turbo to prevent any turbulance.

    flame? nah, it's all good, no worries man...

    i was just wondering if the turbocharger on vamps ride could also be used for the 4age engines?

    i have just recently did an engine swap from my stock 4afe to a 2nd gen. 4age silvertop, still getting familiar with the engine and i was just wondering if a supercharger could generate more HP... but i dunno if going from NA to FI would be better or just have my engine ported and polished instead...

    superchargers are pricey here where i live...

    sorry bros, not that familiar with aftermarkets that much...

    Yes, you can use the same turbo on your setup.

    we may have lots of surplus/ junk from japan, but very hard to get hold of turbo chargers because of its price... it costs about the same as a twin cam engine here or even more... :(

    anyways, vamp, your ride gets better and better... diy guru...

    c_green38, thanks for the compliment bro...

    in australia, there is a toyota vios, 1.5L displacement, vvti eningine with turbo... at first glance it could be mistaken for a 4efte 1.3L displacement (which are found in 1990 starlet glanzas)...

    dude, i dunno what to say about you post on the first page and much recently this one, for a newbie on vvti, i dunno if you're trying to flame over a good thread...

    and about the engine pix, here it is:

    [IMG]

    The 1.5 16 valve DOHC VVT-i 1NZ-FE engine has been turbocharged with light boost pressure as the compression ratio of the engine is still quite high for a turbo-ed engine at 10.5:1. Normal for a bolt-on setup. The ECU has been upgraded to detect boost and adjust air-fuel appropriately.

    This results in 143 horsepower at 6400rpm and 196Nm of torque at 4400rpm. The gearbox is a 5-speed close ratio gearbox for maximum acceleration. This takes the car from 0-100km/h in 8.1 seconds. The car does the 400meter sprint at 15.9 seconds.
