Wheels hit top of wheel well :(

I finally got my 225/40/18s to fit in without hittin the strut housing and they fit into the wheel well. only prob now is that when i go over bumps the wheel hits the top of wheel well. does anyone know how to stop or prevent that from happenin? stiffer springs? air bags?

Your most likely gonna need smaller tires.

I think you should have went with the 215-35-18 tires instead.

I had to deal with the same thing. All you have to do is roll the fenders. But if that don't work then your wheels are way to big for that car. I here the crolla is not a good car to buy big wheels for any way.

if your car is way to low,try raising your car a bit and if your is stock height then you need smaller tires.

I just think the fenders on 93-97s are small. I have 205/50/15s and in the front I rub the inside fender when making a u-turn, while at the back, I rub with passengers over bumps.

The solution is to do a wide body or make the fenders look similar to that of the WRX.

Your wheels are definately too big. Get smaller tires, 215/35/18, like hawaii said. But Im sure you'll still have that problem.
