Engine Timing belt... or chain?

    Timing belt... or chain?

    I can't seem to get a definitive answer on this:
    I have a 2000 Corolla LE. Does it have a timing belt, or a timing chain?
    If I have a chain, when (if ever) is it recommended I get it changed?

    you ahve timing chain, and it will last a long time. there is not recommedation to change it from toyota.

    it's a chain, as long as you up on oil changes on ur car that chain will last u forever
