strut problem

I just lowered my car today and while i was changing the springs i noticed that on one of my struts when i pulled up on the strut rod it stayed out while on the other one it went back in. Is there anything wrong with this?

Well since you lowered the car you should change the struts to performace ones. Look at the website in my sig.

KYB will give you a softer ride and Tokico will give you a harsher ride.

What year car do you have

Dont forget about Koni's.

They're adjustable.

Replace all 4 struts will stiffer ones like Tokico and that should also help the sagging.

On which sides did you notice the prob, cause the weight of everything in the truck will not help the struts at all, LOL

There is the answer man, put some stiffer struts and things should level out and you might even be able to put the rear springs in

Yep, I will testify to that. Tokico's are stiff as hell on any type of spring. I had the S-Techs and now I have Eibach's and it still rides stiff as fuck. Come to think of it, my S-Runner came stock with Tokico's and too the ride was stiff as fuck.
First off I would suggest you get your fenders rolled to eliminate the rubbing issues then install your lowering springs with kyb struts. If your rear rubs now it will get 10 times worse upon installing the rear Tein springs.
sorry I don't have the link but check out carreview.com, they will comply with my statements.

I mean stiff in the bad sense...well for a daily driver anyways. The ride is stiff and you feel every single dip and bump on the road.
Performance wise it hugs the corners quite well. I had always used JIC, Tein or Koni/Ground Control combo...first and last time Tokico user.
I mean there good stuff...I'm just used to being able to adjust the dampener for daily driving.

For those of you that have/had tokico struts, whenever you go over small imperfections on the road, does the tire skip or do they hug the ground perfectly? I've got Apex with KYB and i think the spring rate is too much for the struts cause whenever suspension is on it's rebound, it is bone-jarring.

If your looking for performamce, get some coilovers. You'll have full adjustability. Spring/strut combo can only do so much when spirited driving.

Progresive springs are made for comfort, with some performance in mind.
Linear springs are meant for performance.

Yeah, from my research, the Tein Kyb combo should be just fine.
I have not read any reviews on Koni's in the 98-02 corolla's though.
