i bought a set of 03+ OEM mags with 195-65/15 tires. two of the tires will need replacing soon. i have a set of OEM 185-65/15 tires on OEM steel rims. can i take the 185-65 and put it on the OEM mags. will it be too small and cause problems?? i just wanna save some money and use the 185-65 coz it still got 90% tread life on them.

if this wont work, i plan on moving up to 205-60 or 205-65/15. is this ok?

I would say the 185-65-15 would work on the OEM mags but to save money how is getting them taken off the winter tires and put on the mags going to save money? Just roll with the sheel wheels till you wear those down or feel like buyin some new tires.

I don't know what the OEM mags can handle but

205-60-15 is the better of your two tire suggestions


215-60-15 would be even sweeter but I am not sure if it would fit the rims and the tire side is a bit harder to find than 205-60-15

ok, the mags i bought ysterday have 195's all-season on them.
my car originally came with steel rims with all season 185's. so... if 185's will work with the oem mags, i plan to take off the 185 all seasons from my steel rims and put on the mags. this would save me money - dont need to buy 4 brand new 195's, i can just use the 185's that came with the car on steel rims.

it should be fine, 195 and 185 isn't really a big difference.
