    HID Kits

    Hey ya, wondering if anyone knew where i can get the best deal on a HID kit for my 03 rolla. Also, what brand and color temp kit i should buy. I kind of want something like this but don't know if this is any good

    you wont get a much better price then that. but you'll probably have to test your luck to see how long it will last

    don't go with just any no brand name stuff. the most common brand purchasesd is "mcculloch" and they seem to be very good. i have 5300k on mine, which actualy looks more like 4700k so i'm even happier. Its all up to you what temp you wanna get. higher color temp looks brighter, but lumens are less.

    I wouldn't get those hids they are an outdated ballast design and problematic. As far as HIDs I have had 2 sets (one cheap one, one descent one but not top of the line) Both have given me trouble right now im having problems with one light and not sure what the problem is. My thoughts are don't get HID or get the best thing you can buy, otherwise it probably will not last more then a year.

    As far as color, the higher the Kelvin rating the less light output, I have 12k hids for the purple color and the light output is less then my 6k's but still plenty to see by, I beleive the lower kelvin bulbs are actully more reliable. If you don't already go there check out 9thgencorolla.com they usually have a group buy on HIDs that the members seem to have good luck with
