    question on installing front lip

when installing a front lip i was wondering how many mount points should i use and what kind of hardware to hold it on. also how could you mount it and not have any screws sticking out?

would a couple of layers of fiberglass and bondo hold down some metal tabs? If so maybe bondo some L shaped brackets to the front lip. then dremel some holes in the bumper slide the tabs of the lip into the holes in the bumper and attach the screws, washers, and nuts (stainless steel of course). I would try 4-8 mounting points...the more the better. Awesome project by the way!

I have not seen any good body kits that look good on the 98-02 Prizm and it needs something to give it just a bit more of an aggressive look. This might just be the answer :)

im going to use fiberglass reinforced bondo to fill in the corners. its about 1/4 inches from the corner. a little sanding and it fill fit real good. the only problem is i am still figureing out how i want to mount it. other than that it should be great. gets rid of that ugly from bumper look a little. i think im gonna drill some holes in it put screws through it and bondo over it so you dont see them. and put 2 holes in my bumper and bolt it down.

I'm installing the same lip on my 02 corolla. I'm waiting for the parts to come out of the body shop before i can install but i'm planning on using screws from the wheel well side and using double sided tape. If it doesn't look solid, then i might have to something else. I'll let you know how my install goes

    PICTURES!! :D

I like the look the front lip gives the Prizm, but the bumper itself still annoys the hell out of me

corolla S OEM side should be hard to work with since you wont be able to fiber glass it
