bad flat tire today/share your stories

well i was going to class in the early evening when i hit the world's largest chuck hole in the road. never felt my car slam down so hard in my life! my cd player skipped real bad as i turned it off and listened for the inevitable flat tire. sure enough i got one and then i hit another chuck hole which sent the hubcap flying off my car. i pull into a local advanced auto to find my tire flat, rim badly bent, underbody neon tube busted in half, hubcap cracked, inner splash guard cracked and the alignment most likely way off now. thankfully i hadnt put my 17" rims with the low profile tires on yet b/c that probably would have spelled even more disaster. luckily i didn't get the back tire but the hubcap was semi off. while i was there FIVE other people showed up in that lot with flats from the same damn hole! hopefully they'll fix the thing soon b/c on my way home i saw 2 more in advanced auto fixed their flats. so for any locals that live by me, if your going down sprague road towards york, right around that timber ridge development, pay attention to pot holes in the curb lane b/c its a guranteed flat.

anyone else like to share some flat tire stories?

Yea I had a rim go flat then come off the tire and then the rim shatter apart at like 180 mph on a drag strip. That was not fun. I am not going to list my injuries cause it will make a couple of people cringe

Yea I rolled 147 times, or so I was told, I passed out. The sand trap is what stopped me. Full Roll cage and 5 point harness as well as a helmet and neck brace helped out a lot

I dont remember too much of this as you can imagine things are a little fuzzy and hazy there. I remember seeing the tire, the feeling the car drop and then like 4 rolls and then waking up a week later lying in a hospital bed in a lot of pain and very little memory of what happend

Man you guys should come to winnipeg. our temperatures range from -60 in the winter to 40+ in the summer. And since we use "southern technology" ie we use the same materials and methods to build roads that you guys do in the southern states, where you dont have that same temperature fluctuation, we get pot holes that are INSANELY large.
The road that I take to school (and work) everyday is great in between intersections, but as soon as you are near an intersection, either slow down, or steer really fast!
