    how much did it cost you to convert auto to 5spd? and how long did it take to swap it in?any chance of dyno number on your car,since you ported your head?.Just curious...

    Finally the rolla is BACK!!!!!!

    Finally got the 5spd swap done. Drives perfectly and it is alot faster then before specially that we ported the heads. Just ask if you guys want anymore info on the rebuild and swap. Sorry, the car looks like crap. The main thing was to get it back and running now all I need to do is put back everything and work on cosmetics for a bit to get it back to the way it looked.

    Don't know the dyno results and it only cost me 2grand on parts and labor was done by me and my boss.

    I blew up my motor because my head gaskets were really bad because of a bad job by toyota and no signs of a problem until the motor just suddenly blew. Then I got the new motor in with the ported heads and that new motor was too much for the old auto tranny and broke that. So here it is with a manual tranny and it is so much faster.

    coolness! i cracked open my old cylinder head by driving the car into the backside of an SUV. hahahaha! now she's got a new head that's been ported, polished, and shaved plus the body's been all rebuilt and repainted. i'm stoked!

    ya your gonna feel the gain of the ported heads for sure. I got more torque and it got faster on the high end also.

    Ya all I did was port the head cause money got really short with the project. The shift knob is not a screw in type its held on by allen wrench screws. The ecu is the same I just did some rewiring.
