    2 door hatch

Does anyone know the overall specs of the 2 door hatch.

    I.E. weight, wheel base...etc.

I know the engine specs as it's powerplant is the 2zz, I just don't know anything else about the car.

I've seen left hand drive pics, but these are sold in the U.S.A., which is where I am. Does anyone know of the legallity issues of bringing one to the U.S.? Would the crash tests ratings transfer? Does the U.S. have any C.T. ratings for it?

The only thing I know about this car is that it's a 2 door, has the 2zz, there is a supercharger for it (along with other mods), and that I do not believe it is sold anywhere near the U.S...man if they sold 'em in canada then I could prolly get one easy.

    Any one have and info?

were i you, i'd contact a vehicle importer for information like that. start poking around the Nissan forums - ask the stateside Skyline owners what company/companies they used to get their Skylines here. that is, quite literally, your best bet.

    hmm...anyone know the specs though?

    Thanks for the reply all!

I guess the main problem is I don't know of anyone bringing these over or there being any demand for it. I kinda like the 2 door...sorta grown on me. If I can get one over here without TOOO much trouble I would...otherwise I'll stick witht he matrix.

I have looked into skylines and 180's as I own a 240, I believe one skyline model (save the "new" skyline/350z chassis) can be legally registered/inspected because someone had 12 or so of them crash tested. Other than that I don't think any of the other models can be legally operated here. With the 180's it's the same chassis as the 240 so there is not a problem.

I still don't think that will allow it be legally registered and pass inspection, due to the crash test ratings. More so because the U.S. doesn't have crash test ratings since the 2 door isn't sold in the U.S....well I don't believe they do...I don't actually know that.

But are you saying that WOULD allow it to be legally registered/inspected? I don't see how that would make it pass.

I'll tell ya what...I'll poke around the nissan forum and ask some of the folks who HAVE skylines over here and of those...the ones who have them legally operating I will ask how they did it. I'll post back when I find some more info...but thanks all for that.....Now....

does any one know the more detailed specs for the 2 door? Weight, wheel base, etc?

well we got a couple of skylines over here that were brought as parts cars and then put them back together and paid 3k to get them legalized....pretty sure it will be the same process with your car
