    what are your "other" hobbies???

well as the title says...what are you other hobbies??

i like anything that is R/C, gas or electric, i use to have a r/c gas truck...but got rid of that, i had asked my dad recently if i fix up his old electric r/c boat if i could have it, he said yea...here are some pics of it...
it needs some TLC, all i need to get for it really is a new battery and 2 new props for it, it is a 41inch US Coast Gaurd boat, it just dosn't have any of the decals on it...yet...and yes, its dirty, its been sittin in my garage for at least 5-10 years, its only been ran in water like 2 times at the most...my dad and grandpop had built this boat, my g-pop has about 4 boats in his shed right now, once of which can reach 44mph actual speed, its got a small weedwacker motor in it

Let's see. I used to build a lot of models (car) when I was younger (about 8 years old). None of those snap together crap, always did level 3 or the old level 4 ones. Had some help from a neighbor who does that. Built some REALLY nice ones, have to dig them up. Then was into r/c planes for a bit, not too long though.

As for now, aside from the car, computers is a big thing for me (time and money wise) - do a lot of work for friends, building, fixing etc.
Also love to be out at the lake, fishing is a great way to spend the weekend. Take out the boat and cruise for the day with some friends is also good. Along with that is sea-doo'ing. Hopefully going to buy another one this year.
Wakeboard is something that I am getting into - really easy becuase of my snowboarding background (yes, i guess that's another hobby).
For the next 4 years however, my biggest hobby is going to be dentistry school - and the biggest drain of my funds (130g just for tuition).

LOL, i have one like that. its a vette body (cant remember what year, old stuff though. and frankensteind it with a new interior from another car, engine from something else (cant remember, was so long ago), and a new dual exhaust, (which i had to mold).
Probably took me as long to do that (including all the shaping etc) as it would to just do a normal engine swap.

Only other thing I really have is my r/c's. Started out in planes, moved to cars, now i'm back to planes and trying to start in helicopters. I compete off and on in pattern competitions with my 40 size Tai Ji. I've got a $1300 2 meter pattern plane, but I can't get myself to fly it due to the extreme cost.

I sold off about half of my r/c cars. All that's left is my nitro tc3 (I plan on selling soon also), which has a novarossi and according to the venom speed meter, it does 61mph. I was planning on building a 100mph car for a speed competition this summer, but I decided to put money in the corolla before I really started spending the big dollars. I recently sold off my Savage monster truck, and truckzilla kit.

My dad bought me a helicopter kit about 8 years ago, and it's only been within the last month that i've been able to buy all the electronics and finish it. I'm currently trying to get the last bit of it done so it can be flown. There's a bunch of balancing that needs to be done, adjustment of the linkages, and programming the transmitter. It's frustrating with helicopters since there's tons to learn, and unless you have someone there to help you out, it's VERY hard.
