Engine tb

    i heard that you could put a celica tb on a 03 ce and you would get a gain in hp. is this true and wich model and year celica?

    Most likely the Celica TB has a slightly larger inlet diameter than Corollas; the HP gains are probably marginal.

    would be from 00+ celica GT also. don't do it though, its definitely not worth any money or time you spend.

    ohh thanks guys. i was thinking about changing my intake manifold and tb from a celica. then port and polish my head. so that wouldnt be worth it?

    I believe your ride and Celica GT have the same engine, a 1ZZ-FE. Not sure if the black plastic mani's are that different between the 2 models, maybe the Celica has slightly higher flow rate injectors (10%? who knows), then I can understand needing a larger TB and air volume.

    Also, the Celica mani and TB maybe at a slightly different angle then Corolla's, needing further work to fit the intake box or tube.

    Your head probably has a cover with coils under it, the head does not look good without the cover IMO, unless you have a non VVT-i head like I do for 98-99 corollas.

    You can, but you need some fuel management computer to make it works.

    Just find a place to have your throttle body bored. If you have throttle body bored make sure you get intake manifold inlet bored also. This is my next mod.
