    vvti signal

    anyone knows what kind of signal from ecu that initiates VVTi looks like?

    The way the vvti works is that the faster you go the more pressure there is in the oil flowing through the cams and there's an oil valve thats controlled by the pressure which in turn controls the cams degree of advance or retardness.

    Wrong. VVT-i is computer controlled, the signal is a Pulse-width, the solenoid works by Duty-Cycle Percentage, the solenoid controls the oil pressure, (not dependant on it) it has three positions; Advance, Hold, and Retard and the based on the ecu's parameters the valve-timing is adjusted

    Just want to verify that the signal to the solenoid is PWM. <br />
    What kind of signal from the camshaft sensor to the ecu?
