You need spring compressors. You can probably rent them from an autoparts store for free.

use the spring compressors. u'll hafta compress the spring enough to get it off of the strut mount. then easiest method to get the top nut off is an impact gun.

just be careful taking the spring off, make sure u've got the compressor on there and it won't slip, cause if that spring pops out it'll take someone's head off.

remember to set the top nut back to torque specs. i forgot what happens if it's not tight enough or too tight. but the consequences will be dire

if u have no clue on how to take the stocks springs off... have a mechanic to do it or someone that knows how to do it... dont risk it... if u wanna learn just watch them do it and maybe next time u might be able to do it yourself.

yea.. please don't attempt if u don't feel comfortable, don't understand, or are feeling cocky. dude at a local shop has a spring slip out of the compressor (they were using manuals at the time), it flew out, busted his jaw. he woke up 2 days later in the hospital. it coulda killed him.
