uhh...don't be affraid...i remember my first time removing a stereo, i was looking up forums and googling up stuff...

take a flat head screw driver, wrap it with something soft (cloth/newspaper) and stick it on the side...make some room, locate the "thingi mabobs" and un pop them...might take some force...but be gentle, take ur time, and work ur way around.

after that it's all down hill...unscrew (should be 4 screws) and remove harness and antena wire. grab urself a harness and use that, helps quite a bit....and then pop it all back into place.

note: check ur ac and other buttons, sometimes wires tend to come loose.

I'm having the hardest time with removing the panels to get behind my headunit. I was able to remove the shifter trim with no problem and I removed the AC knob and unscrewed that with ease. But I cannot take off the other two panels necessary to remove the stereo (the vents, and the middle dash piece). Is there any trick to it? Do I need to use some tools? It just feels like I'm going to break things. I struggled with it for about an hour after giving up. The part I'm having the most trouble with is the middle dash panel piece (the one with the AC knobs and clock etc). Any help? BTW I have a 2006 with 6 Disc In-Dash that I'm trying to remove so I can install and Aux-input adapter on to it. I followed some tutorial that someone made on the internet, but its not as easy as it makes it seem. The panels are really tough to work with. Anyway, I'm just rambling now, any help would do. thank you.

to remove the hvac panel i just stick my finger in the hole with the removed center knob was then I just pull from there. You can also pull from the buttom. then unscrew the 4 - 10mm bolts that holds the radio in then pull out the panel around the radio. The radio should come out with it.
