Speaker mounting depth for front doors of 03-06 Corolla?

    Speaker mounting depth for front doors of 03-06 Corolla?

    Can anyone help me out here?

    I need to know what the depth is from the inner door skin to the window when rolled down. Anyone happen to know?

    go to www.crutchfield.com type in the info of your vehicle to see what speakers are available for it.

    Thanks for the reply. I don't ever trust those sites though. This isn't for my car btw, just trying to help someone out.

    yea...i used one of them things to check the speaker depth in my car....and ordered my 5.25's for the front...turns out i needed 4"....so i did the only logical thing...screwed them into the door panel, now my door panel exceeds the door about an inch, but hardly noticable...and the shit works...awesome

    crutchfield is reliable tho, i ordered a few things for my dad's car from that site.

    I got one of those "kits" that were supposed to work with the corolla speaker sizes. Unfortunately it was way off. I just had to put some brackets together and do a custom job to get it in right. I can't remember the depth of mine but you can go fairly deep, especially if you mount the speakers out a tad..tilting them toward the driver.
