I know u civic haters are gonna love this

I gotta 89 civic h/b si... heheh, thought i'd stir the haters up. anyways, she's to give my rolla a break for a while, give me a chance to rebuild the motor and possibly swap to a manual..
not too bad a deal, $400, only thing bad is the engine (it has 200k on it, and should've gone farther if the numb nuts hadn't had let it run out of oil going 70-80 MPH down the interstate).... but, picked me up a ZC motor tonight, should be in in a few days, swap it out 2 weekends from now, and start cruising...
as u know there's already gonna be a list of mods.....

    by december (hopefully)
    ZC motor (stock)
    Headers, exhaust
    cold air intake
    springs
    my 17" enkei's
    front and rear strut bar
    short shifter
1Gen Celica Supra Shift knob(no matter the brand, must honor the greatness)
    prolly upgraded clutch as well
buddy club front bumper/mugen sides and rear
rear view mirror out a 96 integra
primered... (eventually maybe paint diamond white pearl like on caddy escalade)
plus i gotta throw a cd player it in (previous owner's was stolen), dunno if i'm gonna yank the one from the rolla (its a cheap sony n e ways) or pick me up one. i'd also like to pick up an EDM VT Cluster (reads 8k redline w/ speedo running to 155 mpg/240-260KPH - http://www.norcalcrx.org/droppedcrxsi/edm-cluster.jpg )

that list of mods is gonna be that way for quite some time. puts a smile back on my face though, i miss the days of cable clutches, no power steering, hand crankin the window (formerly owned a 91 crx si i almost bought back but got instead)...

well.. i was thinking ya know.. big huge aluminum wing on the roof in front of the sunroof, Integra Type R emblems galore, SeR emblems, use some carbon fiber look vinyl film and do a half ass job covering the hood and half the interior with it, mesh everything out and paint the mesh every single color i could find at walmart, etc. etc. etc... hehehe...

my heart's still with toyota, but damn, supra tt's are still just way too damn expensive! not to mention, i still own 2 toyota's, heheh...

    heheh true

ok, i've gotten most everything, waiting for some stuff to come in.. should start working on it.. next weekend i hope..

    here's whats going on/in

    DOHC ZC Motor
    Cold Air Intake
    Ceramic 4-2-1 Headers
Custom 2.25 - 2.5 inch exhaust (w/ resonator and a Carbon fiber muffler)
    17" Enkei DM5's
    H&R Race Springs (2.25/2.00 drop)
KYB GR-2's (wanted AGX's or Illumina's, but money talks)
    Strut Bar (front and rear)
    Short Shifter
Buddy Club front/ Mugen sides and rear body kit
    Amber Euro Corners
    Sony CD Player
    Tint
    94-01 Integra Mirror
    1G Celica Supra Shift knob

Thats about it. I'm gonna leave the clutch thats in ti now (its relatively new, plus it'll only cost me 1 clutch if my wife burns it out). I wanna get some thicker wires and better plugs, but i'll hafta see where my money's at when i'm at that point. Might hafta stick with OE Sized wires, but we'll see. Anyways, I should... should have some pictures up soon.

and gotarheels.. GO TAR HEELS! gotta rep the blue..

hah! actually, I wouldda love to do a K20A2 or maybe K20 head w/ K24 block.. but... it would be cheaper for me to trade in my 02 impala and get an 06 Impala SS... heheh.

    as for updates...

I have the old motor out. I'm waiting for my new flywheel to come in. I got a lightweight flywheel (hint: eventually more power adders will come). The motor didn't come with a distributor, but the kid who i bought it from is sending me one, all i gotta pay is shipping (if its shot, i blew $4, i won't die).

I've already got my: ceramic headers, cold air intake(i went cheap, shouldda got the damn AEM one, oh well), resonator and muffler (getting custom exhaust done, really wasn't a setup i liked in my price range), KYB GR2 struts, front and rear strut bar, euro amber corners, body kit for a CRX I gotta modify some to fit, and some 8MM spark plug wires.
I still gotta buy some tires for my 17's, springs(caught between H&R and Skunk2 springs), strut mounts, driverside axle (it was shot), front upper and lower balljoints (ditto), spark plugs (i'm not spending $13/plug for iridiums, forget that). I'm also considering get an unorthodox underdrive pulley, possibly single accessory (i've ripped out almost everything A/C).

I got some other mickey mouse stuff. put my short shifter in already, got some indiglo gauges, even though they were the wrong ones so i might not install em, i dunno.

this won't be the faster Civic h/b on the streets, but she should be decent. Not quite the 11 second on south CRX I would love to build (K20A2 head, K24 block, build N/A), but enough to get me around.

    mmm...k series honda engines...yes.

Well I once thought lights and loud mufflers = tuning when I was very young...and sadly it was done to my accord. Thankfully I learned very quickly, and put her back to factory...since she never left "stock" just altered stock...HA HA...oh bad times bad times

Well thanks for doing actual WORK on you civic. I don't think you'll get any haters so long as you keep with performance mods and hang away from the ricey exterior and "noise" mods.

    Good luck!

    new civics are nice...

    alright.. here's the update...

motor should drop in this weekend.. i've been so damn busy that its taking forever....

for now it'll have the ZC motor, cold air intake, headers, exhaust, front/rear strut bars, thicker wires, short shifter... I've gotta lightweight flywheel but, running low on cash, and i didn't wanna put the old clutch on it (damn that clutch was pretty wore out and the stock flywheel is grooved like hell)...

so this summer I'll weight to put on a new clutch and lightweight flywheel, plus i'm possibly gonna get an underdrive pulley for a single belt. at least leaving the stock clutch will gimme a chance to let my wife tear it up first ;-)

damn i didn't realize i've had the car this long and still haven't finished... ah, the never ended married homeowner w/ a kid and a job.... never ends....

i'll get some pics up soon

Is that the stock motor still?

I thought the ZC was for the CRX? Does it also work for the regular civic Si? Do B series motors bolt up to this car?

yea thats the stock motor.. i got the ZC in yesterday, finsihing hooking it up today...

CRX's are technically Civic CRX's if that clarifies anything. they share the same platform, same motors, etc. etc.. the ZC bolts straight into Civic's are CRX's w/ very lil mod (had to swap pins from a wiring harness was the hardest thing ;-p )

as for B series, they go in with special mounts, shift linkage, and axles. also require some rewiring. but they aren't the worse thing in the world to put in.
