put the stock knob back in. Thats what you get for buying cheap knobs. You know, they should make those shift knobs illegal because of the safety hazards.

I dunno. I was gonna get those too. I never thought of it. But I think there is something you can do toavoid gitting it by accident.

in essence its the same as the old knob i can exchange from drive to neutral without pressing it down, its just that im not really used to it yetand if sum1 happens to press it down and move it (which is very easy to do) theyl fuck my shit up, but i gotta figure out a way i guess

I thought that kind of shift knob, instead of pressing the botton on top, you press the whole thig down. Right?? Why you can shift without pressing anything??

I've never had that problem or anything even close to that happen. Mines not that easy to push down. I think theres just as much chance of someone knocking it down by accident as the stock shiftknob. Maybe you have the knob installed too far down on the shaft and it doesn't have to move as far? I dunno.

That was what I was thinking also or maybe it doesn't have a spring or the spring is too weak from pushing it back up. I have no problem with mine and had them for over a year now.

How do you accidently throw it in another gear? Unless, you are pretending it's stick and keep your hand on it while driving. Which I know no one here does, because that would be silly. Even on a stick, your hand should be on the steering wheel, not on the shifter.

You will get used to it man, I have the same thing and you will get used to it. Umm and I guess I am one of the stupid ones cause my hand rests on top of the shifter or is sitting on the armrest, cause my right shoulder has a minor twitching problem.

I have the push down knob in my 99 auto...all the shop guys always r looking for a clutch pedal and ask me how to work it. I dont have any problems w/ putting it in the wrong gear though, I've had this done now for like 2 years. Please ignore the interior paint job I did last summer, it was my 1st time doing it and hopefully will redo it here soon before I sell the car.

i've got the same knob and boot as rollaryder and i've never had a problem with it either, other than a few times when i put it in neutral instead of reverse...

oh and i'm one of those people who holds the knob CONSTANTLY...unless I'm riding with my girl
