the 1zz-fe can run up to 14 psi on stock internals BUT it's risky of course and to run that much psi u also need more fuel delivery so get a Walbro 255 lph fuel pump and stuff of that sort

Okay, so I am totally new to this, but my buddy's got some turbines sitting around in his junkyard. Is it possible to just tweak and custom fit all the tubing and components into the corolla and just use boost control to keep it at 10psi? Or is there a specific turbine that I have to use and there is no way to tweak and custom build my own setup?

it's all custom made. Stafford came out with a turbo kit a while back that well it was kind of good but the fuel maps sucked ass thus making the kit crap..... all of the few turbo'd corollas around the U.S had to custom make their stuff.

Ok i posted about the turbo-kits.com is there kits good or bad. I really would like to keep my car if i can find a good turbo kit for my car cause i dont feel like throwin the money for a custom turbo. If the Fuel map is bad can you get it redone at a tuner shop?

well theres a place near me that does custom turbo's and im gonna talk with them about the kit and also how much will it cost if they just fabricate me a custom kit. im expecting to see the price around 4grand for a custom kit though ill be ordering parts in to get the price lowered. Also anyone know how the turbos do with an auto transmission? I hear it does ok and I also hear I may have to upgrade the trans oil???? or somethin.

sounds like alot of headaches for that kit, Sounds like the best options would be TRD /sc or find a shop to fab a turbo kit.

One of my friends bought that kit. It was a pain in the ass and he said he had to do alot of custom work to the "kit". Then he ran into a fuel leak problem. After about 3 weeks its up and running but I havent had a ride in it yet.

i see all this psi....but how much power? depending on turbo, trim, and all the power will be different. can the con-rods take 250whp with a solid a/f daily? or will the weak con-rods take a dive?

Ok a few things to remember... Vortex runs 14psi but he is at a higher altitude so I think it counts as less..

2nd You CANT GO by PSI exactly...
    7 psi on a t25 is NOT 7 PSI on a GT35R..

So you have to look at airflow and horsepower and torque cuz thats what breaks things....

Also tuning keeps you safe.... with bad tuning you can blow your car before you ever even hit boost...

A good Number is try to stay below 250hp or so..

People have broke stuff at less though..
