Engine ? Heat Wrap Trying To Keep Temps Down

    ? Heat Wrap Trying To Keep Temps Down

    I have once again another ? actally miht be just opinions but anyway as you all know our radiator hose goes directly under the cai or sri on our cars i was wondering would it hurt the car to wrap the hoses with heat wrap as i will be buying heat wrap to wrap my header thanks everyone on here is very helpful thanks again

    wrap the cold air or the ram air pipe with the heat wrap.

    not the hoses ;)

    Wrap the entire radiator to prevent it from raising the underhood temps... :)
    j/k!

    You would get better heater performance if the heater hoses were wrapped, though.
    It depends on how much wrap you have left over from doing the exhaust. You could wrap the intake runners as they have a large surface area...

    I've heard of Prius owners adding *warm* air intakes (where air is scooped up from near the catalytic convertor) to improve their mileage... I'm tempted to try that-- I'm tired of handing my money over to the oil companies.
