94 interior panel bulb removal

how r u able to get to remove ur interior panel to change the bulb? mine blew out so i cant see nothing for direction of air flow, heat,cold, etc. what bulb is used. can that plastic shield be removed cause thats in the way...thanks

and go to auto zone or ur local auto shop and ask for the bulb, they will know

not for the gauges but over where the ac is located...below the vents...that center area...how to move all of that to get to that bulb

its easy i just did it while installing new stereo,

the whole middle area is made up of 2 pieces

in the middle you will find 2 screws slightly hidden on the edges where both pieces meet and cover one another, undo them

you don't have to pull out the bottom piece, just pull on it slightly because it covers the top piece with the vents and ac controls where they both meet, pull the ac vent knobs off, you just grab them a give it a yank

slide your fingers under the top piece from the bottom and pull on it, if you never did it before do it hard cause its not used to being pulled out,it should give way and then keep pulling it untill the whole thing is out

don't pull to far cause there are 3 things connected to that with wires, 1 the clock if you have it, hazard lights and rear window de-fog, each socket has a squeeze release, squeeaze it and pull it out then pull out the panel

the bulb is behind the plastic prisim like shape that streaches all across the middle, you pull it out by poping one side out

yeah i got it...i was messing with it yesterday cause i wanted to find out the bulb size before i went out to buy some...#74..yeah i removed the plastic sheild just by playing around with it and there u go....thanks alot..peace
