radio install toos that acually work

I have seen a trim tool?? (ok no jokes like "I got your trim, tool" ) like for the trim around the radio etc...see:

Dash Trim Removal Tool - $4.50
This tool is great for removing trim bezels and air vents without damaging the vehicle's dash. It's made of a tough, acrylic plastic that is easy to use. Slide between the bezel and dash to release retaining clips.

and this thing is a cool tool as well:
    Dash Snake - $12.95
The Dash Snake is a specialized tool to assist routing wires under the dash cavity, under carpeting, above headliners or through the vehicle's firewall. It is 3/8" wide x 48" long and made of nylon that is rigid enough to follow a line, yet flexible enough to turn corners without collapsing. Will not scratch or cut your vehicle's interior or wiring. hope this helps...

well its cool but you can just make do with a flathead screw driver, your fingers and regular wire strippers and pliers, i just installed a new stereo in and got around with just those, took me 1 hour to do it and then had to make some minor adjustments with the sliding face the next day.

    huh??

what does that have to do with the post??

you will still need wire stripers, so what does that have to do with anything???

this is for getting under the carpet and not using a coathanger, the coathanger can rip etc but not only that the tool above works better than the coathanger...

the other tool is for removing dash parts and covers and not scratching them like a screwdriver does,

lost on your reply?? glad you changed your stereo in what car?? what year?? what stereo stock to what stereo changed??

wow good find and thanks for the links. i'm always extra careful with the flathead to pry off pieces but this will definitely bring peace of mind. thanks again!

the dash snake might've been helpful with routing those damn monster cable speaker wires through the door loom, thats a real PITA.

A tip for not scratching the dash would be to just put a piece of tape on your screwdriver before you start prying with it.
