forget it! you'd have better luck trying to swap a supra motor in.

Uh...well...Honda has the strange habbit of making engines that rotate counter-clockwise. Hence, the engine is mounted on the left side with the transmission on the right side, which is exactly bass ackwards from our cars. So, to answer your question, that would be a hell of a swap to custom fabricate mounts that would line up. You could also plan the ECU and re-wiring to go with it. That's a custom install job that would take some real cahoonies.

Actually, it would be pretty easy to do. The rotation of the engine is a non-issue since you would have to use the GSR tranny anyway. The problems you need to deal with are: Engine mounts, custom axles, custom wiring, a/c lines, PS lines, cooling lines, shifter linkage/cables. I don't see it being any harder than swapping a 2ZZGE in, actually.

Except that putting a Honda engine in a Toyota is just WRONG!!! :D :p

But I could do it, if you're serious.

hey how bout a 1jz from is300? not only is it inline6, itll be rwd too. but then again, it'll cost about the price of a salvage titled is300.

not worth the 60-70 HP increase. not to mention, anyone price out a B18C/5(depending on JDM or USDM) recently. Hell, u can pick up a 3SGTE and finance part of the swap with the cost of the motor alone. The creating custom mounting points on the chassis, the completely new wiring (we're talking more than just an engine harness if nobody remembers how much control the ECU has over the complete vehicle), ahhhh, sounds like a headache to me. for 60-70 HP....
If u wanting something, try a newer 3SGE. You're looking same HP (ok so no dual stage vtec), VVTi, and a much more friendlier swap....

btw... i've been seeing motors w|w/o tranny and w|w/o ecu going 3g's+. now if u got the right hook ups u can do better. But even my motor guy, who can get me bout any motor i want dime for a dozen, is pressed to find B18C/1/5's... Used at least. Its no longer used in honda's, been replaced by the K series. And a K series is so new it ain't cheap either. Trust me, I looked at K20A2's (RSX Type S) or K24 block/K20A2 head's for a sweet CRX swap. After those numbers, if I end up getting that rex, its sticking with a ZC...

and as for the question can it be done... yes. you could drop a bugatti W16 motor in there, turn ur car to mid engine/all wheel drive if u really wanted too. or drop the corvette c5r motor and change to rwd even... all it takes is money...
