water in cd player from air conditioning

I think my air conditioning has been putting water in my cd player because recently the radio stopped working but the cd player still works and sometimes the cd starts skipping and i take it out and it has water on it. I have a 2001 Corolla with a Sony mp3 cd player. Does anyone know a cure for this?

it's condensation from the a/c freezing the air within the CD player - the more humid an area you live in, the more likely it is that you'll end up with ice on your CDs. the ONLY "cure" i've seen, so far, is to insulate the player itself. PM Vamp about how he took care of that issue - i can't recall.

water and electronics dont mix,,, pull out your stereo goto home depot and get some adhesive insulation insulate about the stereo, its kinda hard to explain but place it above the stereo with the adhesive side facing up

this will help absorb and shield the runoff from the a/c

also if you can place and wrap the area that causes the sad showers then if you insulater it good it wont even cause moisture.

if you cant find thin enough adhesive insulator then use something like a sound deadoner material, it will isulate as well

does anyone know if they make a protective cover or anything like this? im thinking about putting another cd player in my car because the radio doesnt work anymore, probably from the condensation and i dont want to have the new one fill with water and fry

where do you live? Air conditioning at this time of the yr!? well anyway .. ive never had a problem with my radios .. during the summer .. but also it wasnt that hot during this summer .. only had the AC on maybe 10 - 20 days out of the whole summer .. but yea .. for the issue .. see if your able to wrap your whole headunit in a plastic ... the plastic you would use from home depot to seal up your house windows from cold air coming in .. and see if that can work ..
