i know how you did that?just leave it on "D" and you pretty much redline it and stomp the gas to make it sound like manual.

Using your gear lockouts puts undue stress and strain on your transmission.

    Good luck with that.

yea , i know what you mean. right when it shifts you give it some gas to put some power down while it's still in the lower gear, right? then it takes a while before shifting to the next gear so you get that lurching effect like a manual? that's not healthy for your car.

I sort of sounds like you a hesitating on the clutch on the start....

Wait, good job of messing up your transmission.

My advice to the OP is to chill out with trying to dick around with your Auto tranny.

As an observation I will say that this is just the kind of stupid crap(no offense to reborja202) that 17 year olds do and it's no big deal.

When I was seventeen I was driving my dad's Ramcharger and tried to drop it into nuetral as I rolled by some kids so I could rev up the V8 and impress them.
Instead I dumped it into reverse at 35mph and the dammed truck tried to go backwords before I got it back into gear. :p It was fine and I stopped trying to do that shit.

Hey now... I had a turbo'd auto... I beat a bunch of manual cars... Dont hate.. :) Although my tranny did go all to hell because I shifted manually... Invest in a transmission cooler :)

The only thing I do is sometimes turn O/D off cause getting on the freeway is uphill and the car needs to stay in 3rd or it will keep slowing down and then kicking back etc unless I gun it up to 70 then it is usually ok

my favorite is the idiots that punch it in reverse , up to about 20 then slam it down in low , and do a "killer" burnout.

lol i wanna figure out how to do it the other way around. i want my manual to sound like an auto so i can impress people when i roll by. autos cost so much more than manuals here in the philippines. ima look like a rich mofo if my car sounds like an auto.
