Got my MR2 Turbo

Got my 1991 MR2 Turbo this morning.

$3900 with 149k miles on it.

Black with black leather interior and T-Tops.

The car runs beautifly, shifts with the lightness which I guess MR2s are known for... and just awesome. Even 150k miles later the engine runs strong as friggin hell.

It will need a LOT of work however:
- There is a small oil leak, somewhere...
- The e-brake doesn't work.
- The suspension is making a clunking noise.
- And what frustrated me a bit, is that I took apart the center console just now to see what's up with the heater, and some fool cut a bunch of wires there! A whole buncha wires are literally just cut!... The interior in general looks like it took a lot of abuse, and semi-successful modding.

I'll post some pics soon!

Personal opinion.

Thats obvious. But when comparing the 5S-FE MR2 to the 1ZZ-FE MR2, the 1ZZ-FE MR2 pwnz.

Mods to the MR-S are endless as well, that goes for any car. You can drop in a 3S-GTE or a 2ZZ-GE into the MR-S if you'd like. But, both stock, I find the MR2 having a hard time competing with the MR-S' handling.

actually you are wrong. the mkII is the car that doesnt fit in with the others. its heavy and doesnt handle as good.

and if the mkIII is a porsche wannabe, then why isnt the mkII a ferrari wannabe?
