Theres a masking kit made by GTS, and probably others. Put them on in your desired location and prime and paint. I've seen those vynil and spray kits, but I wouldn't use them. You can also buy covers.

you need to find tint paint. try to find the japanese brand and not nightshades. it's really expensive, and a small can will cost 20 dollars, but it's enough to do 1.5 pairs of tails. i've had mine for 2 years and it's been very durable for spray paint.

can you still see the brake light fine cuse i dont want to get rear ended- i saw one of those gts masking kits but i think that the red on the tails would stand out and look bad so i eather want to go all black or if there is a way i want white where the blinker and brake is and the rest black but i think i will have to buy aftermarkit tails for that

yeah, the light shows through fine. i have 2 light coats on my lights.

about the rear ending ... i have no accidents in 2 years with these lights and 3 trips across the country during them.

So uh.... what did you use specifically? I'm searching on google and ebay and anything that I search for comes up for model/rc cars. Is this the right stuff?

havent been pulled over for it in two years, havent been in any accidents either.

also, you have the advantage in that you're painting your OEM taillights to look like potentially factory parts, so they still have the SAE/DOT certification on them.

it didnt take me too long, not to sure exaxtly but i did it all in one night. i just cut the grill out with the dremel (be sure you leave the very top of the grill so it makes like a frame. then i cut the mesh, painted it, and zip tied it in
