    remove radio and replace it w/ sumthing cool

    hey i wanna get rid of the stupid factory radio and get sumthing better

    oh and the subs and the amp....=D
    give me some steps thanks

    get a harness that plugs into your existing harness if you want to make the install easier and be able to go back to stock w/o any problems. or if you want, you can just cut off the exisiting harness and figure out which wire does what. I've done it the latter method, but its pretty ghetto and takes a lot more time. As for sub and amps, its just a matter of finding a wiring route to the trunk, usually best way is under floor sill's on driver or passenger side door (staying away from hot wire's as much as possible)

    it really is amazing how easy it is to install a radio on the 98-02 once you learn what to do. Wish all cars were like this.

    haven't yet, but I should go once just to see it.. only import show I've been to was at triton college, which was impressive.

    can any1 help me with a 2002 corolla? where do i put the stereo? on the top where the cd player is located or on the bottom right above the cup holder where the controls for the cd player are?

    Should put it where the cd player is located, its a better spot to reach it at, then you can either keep the controls there or you can take those out to make room for somethin else?
