    almost crashed!!!

tonight coming home, I was doing like 80mph on 5th - I-290west it was foggy as hell.. and the ground was wet... all of the sudden i see a big tire right in front of me, i rapidly swing left, the back of the car goes right, since i previously had an accident almost like this , i didnt step on the brake, instead i swong my steering wheel to the right and speed up, and there i am drifting like crazy, but i regained control by speeding up a little more.... damn i felt like i was gonna die.
Be careful out there all of those in the midwest... there's a bunch of thunderstorms with really heavy fog.

I almost hit a truck tire right where 294S splits off to 90... There was a Honda Pilot in front who all the sudden swerved into the shoulder and I was like WTF? And saw the huge tire... I was able to swerve around it at 60mph thanks to my tires and suspension. But there was no rain or fog... I drive slow in bad conditions...

So why were you going 80mph in thick fog and rain?

well instead of ripping on you for driving fast, I will congratulate you on your ability to stay cool and do the right thing. good work learning how to somewhat control an FF assdragging across a highway at 80 mph. :D

I understand that, but in thick fog?? I deal with teh capital beltway and 95 every day. This is how the 80+ car pileups occur.

But congrats on keeping your car straight.

good job staying on the road. I had the same problem this winter. Was heading up to an intersection. right lane was clean, slow semi in the left lane. REALLY icy so i was a little under the limit. car pulls out form the perpendicular street into my lane right in front of me (so much for the safety of DRL's :(). Hit the brakes.... but I'm not stopping. so kinda drift into the left lane, then back into the right barely missing the semi and the car that but me off.
    just about shat myself. lol

I had a truck tire blow up while on the truck that was in the lane next to me and he was in front, went into the grass median at 80 on a clear day with the rims on and did no damage
