Same here, instead i got dragged into seeing it. I personally could have waited to see it, but since I did, I enjoyed it. I did want to know how Obi Wan communed w/ Qui Gon tho... guess he tries to do that for 20 years until episode 4.

They say they won't make episodes 7-9 but I am sure they will in a couple of years... It's too big of a hit not too... I want to see how it all ends!

I bet that's exactly what's going to happen. I guarantee he's about ready to buy an island and go retire, so he's going to find someone he trusts and sell them the rights so they can make the movies. I'm predicting he'll be finished after the new Indiana Jones.

Nah, I doubt he'll want it to lay in the hands of someone else.

I thought it was pretty good. It started off really slow though. The beginning was just plain silly. I am not one to say anything about dialog, but, the beginning was just nonsense. After the battle with the chancellor, it got really good. I really enjoyed how everything was tied together.

The one line that was probably not meant to be funny but I found very hilarious. Probably will become a classic.
"Is Pademe alright?" "Noooooooooooooo" OMG ROFL, Darth Vader is supposed to be the badass, what kind of line is that. Shouldn't he choke someone or something?

I doubt it...lucas has to give up the rights, and I doubt its something that hed want someone else to be doing. Even though 5 and 6 had different directors.

I've seen it twice so far (12:10 am and 10:30 pm on opening day), and really liked it both times. I definitely like the second 2/3 of the movie more than the first, but the opening sequence is very cool.

Did anyone else notice the Millennium Falcon in the movie?

i heard that in a few years like somebody said that they are going to make more... but now they are focused on the tv series which i think is going to flop... thise theme is only ment for the movies

Nobody in our theater really laughed at that part, but yeah.. it seemed a bit overdone.

Anyway, after they crash-land the capital ship, Obi-Wan gets into a smaller craft and in the shot where that is docking, the Falcon pulls in to a lower level docking bay. Good times.

nice. my roommate has a bootleg DVD of it and im gonna have to go watch it now and look for that part haha.

as for the vader thing - yeah it seemed kinda weird for someone so evil to moan like that - but it's all symbolic of his passage into the dark side. his life is defined by pain and lust for power. he didn't kill padme but palpatine told him that anyway to make him even more angry and hurt.

that's how he got him to the dark side. The problem with this is that nobodies destiny is already laid out before them. They can choose what to do and what not to do.

He was greedy, true, and wanted power. Something he couldn't have with the Jedi.
