    I installed the round front door speakers and the back 6” x 9”s (with some cutting);
    They sound great. I compared these speakers to 4 others in Wal-Mart using a kiosk and switched among them using different head units also, found Xplodes the best in clarity and sound overall.

    I did not like the Xplode head unit, did not provide enough base and had lame equalizer capability (the $100 unit) , I chose a Pioneer head with 200W output and preamp outs.

    I don’t have subs and don’t need then, loud enough for me.

    I have had Sony Xplod in all my cars and I will stick with them. They are really nice when put with the right setup.

    trust me, get a good sub and you'll never say that again. The bass reproduced from speakers (especially sony's) Can't even hold a candle to the difference once you get a Sub. Not just loudness, but more importantly the clarity of the bass. With a sub you can allow the sub to handle your lows, leaving the speakers to reproduce highs and mids, which is what they do best.

    sony is ok.. they used to own AIWA let's not forget. I hate the displays on sony decks.. Then again, my wife has a $500 JVC in her truck that has a great display but I don't like the button setup. I love my kenwood.. the button layout, ease of use.. that's what really counts (sound quality and reliability doesn't hurt either)
